Positive: We absolutely loved our 5 night stay in this little gem! Set in the beautiful redwood forest, with amazing walking tracks in Spring surrounded by redwoods with beautiful Giant wake robin, Lily of the valley, Iris and forget-me-not’s along the way. The cabin had almost everything needed for a 5 night stay (no washing machine, but we coped!). The blue jays came knocking at the skylights, asking to be acknowledged and the deer, squirrels and lizards checking out the unsuspecting visitors. Just great to curl up in front of the fire with a book after a busy day. Thank you! Negative: Nothing.

Andreia's place is a cottage in the woods. It is near a lake, and provides an excellent view of nature from the sky lights. It is very quiet and peaceful! It's an incredible place for a relaxing and semi-unplugged (internet is available but a bit slow) type of trip. Its features were expected based on description and reviews. On top of that, it is quite affordable. I understand the cost of cleaners because of it's location in the mountains, and I also do not disagree with the feedback from the reviews. Nonetheless, it's clean, cozy, and equipped. It has most if the things you need like most Airbnbs. It's also close to our favorite hiking spots in the area! I recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful, semi-unplugged, and nature-y type of trip!

I found this place bc of a concert that was at Apple Jacks, a small local venue, that was nearby. The place was exactly as described and so cute. I would definitely stay here again! The best part was that you could walk to Alice’s, an adorable restaurant that was nearby.

We really enjoyed the place and the area - but finding it in the first place was a bit of a challenge - the signs have a different road name on them. Once we got there, we had a good time. A store and Alice's restaurant were within an easy walking distance.

Stayed here for 2 nights with the wife to get away and unwind. Alice’s is walking distance and was amazing for breakfast and dinner. Very serene and it served us very well. I will absolutely look to comeback and stay for a couple of days. Thank you for sharing this gem of a cabin.

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the tranquility that enveloped us, offering a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Positive: Everything. The room layout was spacious and fun. The bed was comfy. The gas stove was very effective. It was just the coziest little place and we plan to book it again! Negative: Admittedly, I wish it had a full size fridge, but we don’t fuss over stuff like that.

We loved the location, right next to Alice’s and hiking trails. However, we specifically booked this place because the description ensures certified professional cleaning and accentuates how much attention is given to the cleanliness, which was a hefty charge. Our allergies are easily triggered so we were hoping that it would be clean but there was a lot of pet hair on the pullout couch, as well as the loft area. Quite a bit of dust hanging from the ceilings and above the kitchen cabinets (noticeable from the loft). And our feet were turning black on the bottoms from the floors that didn’t seem to have been mopped well. We were disappointed. Ants were frequent guests in the kitchen but that wasn’t too surprising bc of the forest. The railing around the loft space is very low, which didn’t make us feel very safe moving around up there.

Positive: Charming, beautiful condo in the midst of a gorgeous Redwood Forest Negative: Apartment was cold when arrived and no instructions on how to turn on the gas fireplace (and remote control lost so had to lay down on floor to feel for switch under it). Outdoor light also burned out so couldn't see in the dark. Long curtain in bathroom could also be a fire hazard.

Loved location and general design of the space! A few minor issues for us: 1) We had issues w parking given that other guests parked poorly and we needed to sort out where to put our car. 2) WiFi was hard to connect to at first but we got it to work a few hours later. Luckily our host was responsive and tried to help, which I appreciate! 3) Some of the sheets had stains on them, and the loft upstairs seemed to have hair left on the carpet. We had a very short stay and I am grateful to have been able to book this space for a last minute holiday getaway with family, but for longer stays would have preferred to stay somewhere cleaner. The location is really lovely though, especially if you love nature and hiking!

Great location! Beautiful space! Down sides: The place next to mine, which was much larger had 5 cars come Saturday night which made getting in and out of drive way impossible. The website showed really nice hiking trails but they are no where near the cottage. And lastly cobwebs on the skylights where you need a 20ft pole to knock down. But we really had a nice and relaxing time!

My wife and I stayed here because we wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the bay area below and stay at a place to rejuvenate in the redwoods. It was amazing! The cottage has everything you need. The decorating was fantastic. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of natural light even with giant redwoods feet from the house. We LOVED the location! So close to open space hiking trails. A few in walking distance. Even one trailhead below the house. 25 minute drive to route 1 and San Gregorio state beach. Bean beach close to Pescadero was our favorite. The famed Alice's restaurant was right across the pond and and easy walk for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Live music on Thursday and Friday's. The Mountain House was a 10 min drive north. Amazing food with fireplaces. The whole experience was magical. Matt at the property management company was excellent. I only had one question and he called back within minutes to help me. All in all a wonderful experience. I would recommend it to anyone with a sense of adventure with a need to rejuvenate and reconnect with nature. We have already booked to come back to the main house over Thanksgiving!

This is a fun little place to stay in the woods. It is a studio and wonderfully naturally lit with sky lights and roof windows. That being said, bring an eye mask if you want darkness to sleep at night. Also, turn the gas fireplace on before you go to sleep so you don't wake up cold. Definitely go to Alice's just around the corner, and get lots of hiking in. The location was perfect for us.

The pictures are accurate, so I won't describe the layout. This place has some nice creature comforts, like fuzzy blankets to keep you warm & great pillows! I was there with my dog and found a park online where we could go hiking... then found that the trail below the house leads to a creek bed with trails I could have walked to from the property. Be sure to check out those (possibly unofficial) trails! Very nice redwood walk (if a little spooky because nothing is marked).

Super nice cozy cabin. Very hard to find at night in the rain. Address isn't marked, driveway is steep dark and curves. Glad I got lucky and found it down the first driveway. Instructions for how to operate gas fireplace would be good. It took me a minute to find the switch under the unit but it worked well to take the chill out. Alice's restaurant is great and close enough to walk but far enough to not hear it. Would gladly stay here again

Hidden gem in the woods!
Positive: The location was unreal. Right in the center of the woods, and the skylights were amazing at daybreak. The drive from Palo Alto was impressive. The winding roads and hills led us right to a quant little crossroads where you could find convenience store, and 2 dining options. Negative: It would be great if it was specified in the description how poor the phone signal was. I would have still booked, but could have made alternate arrangements for some early morning calls I had to make. I had to walk for 20 minutes in order to find a signal string enough to make a call.

Positive: Prior to checking in, the hosts were very helpful and communicative with details for our arrival and about the property. On our arrival, the place was very clean and ready for our stay. The accommodation itself is a nice little flat in an amazing area for nature. Additionally, the hosts were very communicative and helpful when we reached out for some information. Negative: Not major issues as we usually don't require WiFi when we travel, but we did need to work the 1st morning of our arrival, and the WiFi is very spotty in this accommodation.

Quaint, rustic cabin in a beautiful area. A crazy trek up the mountain but worth it if you want to be off the grid. Good space for a family with various sleeping options. Great restaurant just down the driveway. If plumbing issues below were fixed, would have highly rated the cabin. We had plumbing issues both nights where the shower wouldn’t drain and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Issues occurred after 10pm so late at night; Plumber came out about 12 hours later so we were stuck without plumbing both nights. Slower to fix the issue and no credits or refunds issued after, which is reason for the three stars.

Although there was an issue with the internet at the end of my stay, the host was very responsive to have it fixed immediately. I truly enjoyed my experience here.

We didn't actually stay, as there was a problem with the internet due to recent storms, and probably due to the power outages in the area. We urgently needed the internet so we could work online, so unfortunately we had to leave and cancel our stay. Andreia was very helpful and responsive and refunded us. It was a super pretty place and we hope to stay there another time!

The cottage home was a rustic space nestled up in the mountains right around the corner from Alice's Restaurant, a cute brunch spot. It was a little out of the way (up a long windy road), but the wooded surroundings were peaceful. The interior was tastefully decorated, bed was very comfortable, and there were redwoods perched right outside the windows. I will note that the space was poorly insulated with old windows, so it was very cold at night, especially the first night as one of the windows had been left ajar. We cozied up with the iron stove heater to warm up.

Lovely place- close to lots of hiking locations, beautiful natural surroundings, and perfect for a simple vacation! We knew what we were getting (very accurate listing/description), but would have preferred a bit more kitchen counter space and a larger fridge/freezer for cooking. Temperature control was tough due to gas fireplace and space heater being the options (couldn’t leave on while we were gone), but it was nice to curl up next to the fireplace! We would stay again and recommend to friends!

Wonderful location in the midst of huge redwoods. We arrived just before a "1 in a 100 year" atmospheric river deluge, with local floods, blocked roads, landslides and power cuts. A true test of our host's facilities and commitment! The warm fire, excellent and friendly local restaurant and quick responses from our hosts to any issues, ensured that we remained comfortable and secure, and able to enjoy the surroundings despite the dramatic weather.

If you’re looking to get away, enjoy the quiet, and retreat from the chaos of the world - this is the place! Note: this place was a bit difficult to find because we arrived late at night. In the dark (and not familiar with back road style neighborhoods) we weren’t sure if we could do what the GPS told us to do. So fair warning, if you arrive at night, you might hesitate while driving to the house. Go anyway. We loved it!

Loved the balcony and patio for coffee and meals. There’s a main road next to the house that gets a lot of traffic (big trucks, motorcycles, and sports cars zipping by), but it didn’t bother us much. The only disappointment was that the fireplace wasn’t working during our stay (after they sent two different maintenance men to try to fix it). There were space heaters so we were comfortable, but we picked this place because it had a fireplace. Still, we had a good time and everything else was nice.

This was a charming studio in the woods. Super short walk to the nearby restaurant and some walking trails, but felt remote enough to get some peace and solitude. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely try to stay here again on my next trip up here!

We had a wonderful stay- the place was very spacious, with 2 patios, in front and back. Surrounded by redwood forest, very quiet, we saw dear:). Ate dinner on the back patio- very romantic.Bed was very comfortable and the studio had all the necessities , kitchen was small but very functional with 2 burners, shower was a tiny bit small, but then again my husband and I are 6 feet tall:). The place was very clean. There was a very popular restaurant Alice within short walking distance, open all day and a convenience store. Overall- we had a great, peaceful, recharging stay- if you are looking for seclusion, beautiful nature, hiking, while being in a comfort of nice place, you cannot beat this for value and location.

What a lovely place! Tucked away in the redwoods-quiet and clean-very clean. we really enjoyed our time here. We live in the Bay Area but wanted some quiet time. It was the perfect answer- beach and SF within an hour! The skylights were a great way to wake up after sleeping in a very comfortable bed. Redwoods outside of every window-nice.
