We stayed here with a family group (including kids and grandparent) and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, the kitchen was well stocked, and the game room was a fun bonus! Everything was clean and check in was clear and easy. Would be happy to stay here again!

This home was near the things we came to Moss Beach to do (tidepooling) and see (the seals!). It was clean inside and stocked with some things (e.g., herbs, spices, tea) to make meals easier. There are nearby restaurants and groceries and we would definitely stay here again. Communication was quick, responsive, and clear and check-in was easy. Light sleepers might be bothered by the car noises on the busy road, but this was not a problem for us at all. We loved it here.

We really enjoyed our time here. The bedrooms were nice and spacious. Each with its own bathroom. The shared area was a bit small but worked for a group of 5. There was a game room area in the photos before we booked but we didn’t have access to this. That was a bit of a downfall. Otherwise, great spot for our trip to Half Moon Bay.

This property was just as advertised minus a few small items. The grass was unmowed which was surprising and shaded first impressions but maybe is common to the area. The inside of the home was clean and had many additional perks like coffee, tea, laundry detergent, shampoos etc. Three full bathrooms and comfy beds made our stay very pleasant. It was a convenient location to run up to San Francisco and Pacifica. Highly recommend Montara State Park just up Highway 1. Thanks again

The house is exactly as it is shown and described. We had absolutely no issues with ants, which was a relief. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for me and my husband and our bad knees. The upstairs rooms were perfect for the other three in our group. The property sits right along the highway, which we were aware of, but far enough back that there was no noticeable noise issues. I imagine the area is always pretty busy, so getting across the highway on foot was tricky, but doable. The Distillery, trails and beach are all within walking distance (over a mile, but doable). Checking in and checking out was super easy and big props for the ping pong table which got a lot of use during our stay. It was a great weekend and for as much as we got out and about, we also spent a good amount of time at home.

I stayed with two of my close friends at this property. It was peaceful with a lovely view of the ocean. The neighborhood was a bit run down and the complex itself is pretty old, but once inside the condo it was nice, with all the necessities, comfy beds, and we had a fabulous walk on the beach.

This house and area are absolutely beautiful. There were ants all over the house! We couldn't leave anything out not even clothes or open suitcases. They were on the beds as well. The tub didn't work either. Getting those fixed it'd be a 5 star property. Despite the issues we enjoyed our stay.

We rented the house for four adults to get away for a week over the holidays (we’re from the Bay Area) and it was great! It’s right on 1 and about a 5 minute walk from the Franklin marine preserve. We ended up renting e-bikes which was a great way to get around half moon bay. The host made it super easy to rent (they dropped them off and picked up). We also had some friends over one day- it was a little tight for seating at a table but we made it work. The kitchen had most of the things we needed (we ended up bringing a hand mixer) and we would definitely come back another year!

I was a little nervous when there were only 2 reviews for this but let me tell you, it’s amazing. Little touches like black out curtains, first aid kit and games make it feel like it home. The beds were comfortable and even though it’s on a busy highway, the driveway is long and easily accessible to get in and out. We loved exploring all the beaches close by and taking a day tour to San Francisco. And Monterey bay. I’d absolutely recommend this place for families who want to be together. We had an awesome ping pong tournament and movies every night. Thanks for the awesome house!!

It was great, the only reason we gave location 4 stars is it was on the highway instead of in the residential area near the water. But despite being in a more suburban area it even had decent transit access. Also it needs coat hooks. But overall 5 stars!

We experienced unfortunate weather while staying at the Moss Beach house. While loss of power was not ultimately the host's fault, it was how they handled partnership and communication with us following that was. BE FOREWARNED. There is a very irresponsible 3rd party involved with this rental that stopped communicating with us as soon as it became inconvenient for them. We lost power less than 24 hours into our stay and there were no flashlights or candles anywhere in the home. The power was still out the following morning (yes, we ended up 'camping' in the house through the 2nd night despite no hot water, cell service, internet, etc). By noon the next day when the power had STILL not been restored, we needed to make a decision about accommodations that would support our family's needs. The host has since completely ignored our calls and texts and showed NO understanding of us needing to move to a hotel so that we could support our kids needs (we were told via a single message with the actual 'host' when reaching out via VRBO that losing the power 'wasn't their fault' rather than recognizing the inconvenience a basic hotel would have honored in that situation). Additionally, beware of the ants in the home - they are EVERYWHERE. Lastly, the 3rd party is known as "Wave House" and yet the Credit Card processor is known as "Booking Away" - I would stay far, far away - irresponsible management and fishy 3rd party involvement (the phone number went to a personal cell phone).

The house is exactly what you’d expect. Pleasantly surprised by the size of the bedrooms & bathrooms, and both pretty updated. Only down side is it’s quite literally off the side of the freeway, but it quiets down at night and is nicely located to a lot of stuff. Also wish there would’ve been some outdoor furniture in the backyard. Overall though, it gets the job done and Sarah was friendly & communicative. Would book again!

ZERO STARS. On night 1 water bubbled up from the toilet overflowing the bathroom & the main bedroom. I contacted the host & property manager asking what to do & was told someone would be out tomorrow. In the meantime, I had the mess to clean up & we couldn’t flush the toilet/use water. The garage where the ping pong tables were located was also flooded & had water all over the floor & smelled horribly musky. The next day a tech was sent out & we had to be out of the house. According to the host a “major plumbing issue” was identified & they spent most of the day working in the house…this is time I PAID FOR. I truly thought other accommodations or a refund would be offered, but it was not. I messaged the host asking for a partial refund & never received a reply. I involved Airbnb & the host never replied to them either. Also ant infested. I was refunded $131 of the $1400 I paid as a “courtesy” from Airbnb due to non response from the host. I’m a single working mom of 3-shame on them!!

It is located on Cabrillo highway so there is traffic but not very much during the night. The bathroom shower connected to the 2 bed bedroom turns very cold quite quickly. Otherwise nicely furnished and nice and comfortable accommodations.

Pleasantly surprised! Very clean nice layout. Large bathrooms for each room. Right on the highway 1 with large driveway. Very easy access. Fun garage layout with ping pong card table corn hole and board games for the kids. Nice new Weber bbq that was very clean, could use some bbq utensils and a brush to keep it like new, Only complaint was that Airbnb map when searching shows on west side of hwy 1 near beaches but it’s actually on the east side of the highway but the walk to the beautiful beach and trails is just across the 2 lane highway and approximately 4 blocks down the road through a beautiful neighborhood. We would definitely stay again. Only suggestions to host would be a newer more comfortable patio set with maybe a fire pit!

This rental has a good lay out, was clean, and has modern decor. It worked perfectly for me and 2 friends as a mini-getaway, as we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The beds were incredibly comfortable with high-quality linens and peaceful decor. The kitchen was clean, had modern appliances, and was well-stocked with coffee & tea making items. The bathrooms are all beautifully decorated and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The host was responsive and friendly. A few notes: - This house is set back from the road, but is on the main highway through Moss Beach. The traffic didn't disturb us, but wanted to mention this. - The water pressure in the showers was not that high-pressure but completely functional. - The wifi isn't that fast and our cell reception was slightly spotty so this is something to be aware of in advance.

The place is very nice inside. It has a well-stocked kitchen. Check-out was easy. The downside is that there are lots of rules. Rules are fine, but so many are nick-picky which didn’t cultivate a relaxing environment during the stay. There were ants in the bedroom upon arrival (they were eating something, so more of a one-off issue likely) but the place was adequately stocked with Raid which was nice. Also, the front door wasn’t fully closed when we arrived, which turned out to be no problem but not comforting either. Overall—place is nice, seems like the ants thing and front door isn’t something future guests will deal with, but it inhibited our stay a bit.

We enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, large bathrooms, and the ping pong table. Everything was very clean and the the living room was comfortable with a nice fireplace. Sarah’s feedback and help was delayed due to a large storm and power outage. This rental is on Highway One and traffic noise was loud outside, but was pretty quiet inside. Overall, considering we were without powder for half our stay, we had a good time staying here.

Sarah- I’ve waited a week to write and send you this review to be certain I am not overreacting but rather responding in a factual manner. In addition to being a world traveler, I have been a Bed & Breakfast owner/operator for over 25 years in the Seattle Market and come from a place of knowledge and service. I appreciate good service and accommodations and am willing to pay for such. Your rental is severely lacking in two critical areas and future guests need to be alerted. We three travelers found numerous shortcomings to your property the two most egregious are: 1 We did not discover this until our last night - There is a set of operable house keys located in an open/UNSECURED cabinet 15’ from the front door. It is accessible by anyone -previous guests, vendors, technicians/repair people, passersby, and night prowlers. We left the house with our electronics, money, jewelry etc. inside, thinking it would be safe with the door locked upon our daily departure. Not so! Additionally, when sleeping at night we were obviously vulnerable to break-ins 2 Due to mobility issues, prior to booking this property, I asked you specifically, if the main floor bedroom/ensuite bath had a walk-in shower. You replied yes. In fact, it has a standard tub which requires an individual to step over a height of over 12”. The walk-in showers are located upstairs! The ten minor offenses below were both surprising and disappointing. When combined with above two, it was not worth $2,060 for a three-night stay. • The on-demand water heater exhaust flue was unglued at the elbow with precipitate dripping onto the electronics below. This allowed CO to escape into the closet and thus into the living space. We shoved the joint together but had no glue to fix properly. • Neither of the upstairs bedrooms or bathroom windows had screens. • The thermostat in one of the upstairs bedrooms was set at 72°. Several attempts to re-set it to 62° were unsuccessful. It would have been nice to be able to open a window to cool it off, if only the windows had screens. • Two of the three bedrooms had no chair or bench on which to sit, OR a luggage rack for suitcases. We had to put our luggage on the floor. • None of the three clothes closets had any shelving less than 7’ off the floor. Therefore not useful for anything like clothes. • The password for wi-fi never worked, with your insertion into the problem, AT&T fixed the local TV but not the wi-fi • An upstairs bath sink faucet was loose and needed a basin wrench. • An upstairs toilet seat lid was so loose that it was about to come off. We found no tools to repair it. • The landscaping of the front and back yard was atrocious- nothing but weeds. • The mailbox with the house number is located on Marine Blvd. not Cabrillo Hwy. Had the owners of the house on Marine Blvd not been home, to advise us where to go, we would not have been able to locate this house as the mailbox is half a block from the house. On the plus side: The entire house was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked in all regards. Tony the house manager answered my AM call regarding the TV and wi-fi and was very pleasant and when unable to resolve the issue, apparently brought you in. The street noise was not as offensive as other reviews stated. As a rental owner I would want to know if guests had any issues with my unit. I care about their safety welfare and comfort, as well as my integrity in the hospitality industry. All the issues listed above have an easy fix with website corrections and handyman work. Regardless of the positives, I believe these transgressions should be made known to Airbnb and any other potential guests. Respectfully, Gretchen Smyth

Very nice weekend getaway
Location was amazing. Beach and distillery are walking distance. House was nice and clean. Checkin was a breeze. Loved that all bedrooms have a bathroom. Garage was a great spot to hang out. Had a little mishap with the door leading into the garage. Somehow it locked on us so we were locked out. Maybe the blue lady? :) Messaged Sarah but didn’t reply back for awhile. Decided to call the # posted and immediate help was given. Would definitely stay again.

Positive: Het huis is prima ingericht, alles is er. De locatie is prima om San Francisco en omgeving te bekijken. Maar de locatie zelf is weinig inspirerend. ligt aan een drukke weg, rommelige en vergane omgeving. Tuin is verwaarloosd, nodigt niet uit om in te zitten. This is a very comfortable house, clean and well stocked. The living room was a little small for more than 4 but the bedrooms were comfortable and each had their own bathroom which was quite nice. Host is communicative in a timely fashion. The main complaint was the spotting map on ABnB is not accurate. It shows the circle on the map on the coastal side of Hwy 1…it is not. It is right on Hwy 1, although it is set well back for the road. However, in order to get to the beach you have to run across Hwy 1 and on a weekend this road is VERY busy and for we 70 year olds, getting across to the beautiful hiking trails and ocean side was a challenge. Besides that it was a comfortable home for the two families in our party.

Great place to book anytime of the year! We took our three kids that are 4, 2, and 1. It offered everything that we needed and was close to the beach. Also has a closed in backyard that is kid safe. In the adult category, the bathrooms were really nice, kitchen, utensils, and appliances on the higher quality side, and the beds were very comfortable. Will be booking again the next time we go to HMB.

Great little place with several beds to accommodate a family of 5 very comfortably. Very proximal to the beach and several trails. Had a family vacation for a week and cooked almost every day. Kitchen is well equipped and we used the grill too on a few occasions. Also we took advantage of the table tennis for several competitive fun, when it was windy for the beach.
