You're across the street from the ocean with lots of windows and a large balcony. I loved listening to the waves at night from the master bedroom. (You cant see the ocean from the other bedrooms.) The kitchen is large and well stocked. There are 4 wood burning fireplaces. We wish we had known ahead of time so we could have brought wood. Really beautiful location. There is property management company, not an owner. So all communications went through VRBO contact number, then they contacted the property management company.

The location could not be any better! The views are incredible and the ambiance is fabulous! There are 4 fireplaces - the primary living room, primary suite, dining room and sunroom. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious for several chefs! There were 6 of us and we enjoyed everything about the living spaces. A few items to note... (1) One bathroom is small with a shower, pedestal sink and no storage. The other is enormous with a dual shower heads, jacuzzi bathtub for two and a second sink with cabinets in the toilet area. There is also a door between the two bathrooms which was great for 6 of us ladies getting read at the same time. The main vanity had enough drawers for each guest to have two drawers to stow their toiletries etc. (2) The two guest bedrooms are small with only full beds and no storage in one and only a small closet in the other. There is a closet down the hall which helps. Again, for 6 girlfriends it was doable but not ideal for couples. (3) The oven is set in Celsius mode! Thank goodness one of my friends figured it out or our crab quiche would have never made it to fruition!! LOL Once you google the formula it is inconvenient but workable! (4) We only had 1 key to the house and unfortunately, no garage door openers working so that was inconvenient. (5) Outdoor furniture was not as pictured and worn/broken. They offered to substitute but that should have been done prior to occupancy and was somewhat disappointing. Overall though, AMAZING!

We loved the amazing ocean views, outdoor deck and being steps to the water. The house is clean, elegant and has lots of natural light. Very well equipped kitchen with everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the house is quite relaxing. Garage parking and good laundry was a major bonus. Wonderful location in HMB, close to everything yet far from it all. We would definitely stay here again.

Very spacious penthouse overlooking the ocean on a quiet street with great access to facilities
Positive: Fantastic location with great access to shops and restaurants within a couple of miles. Lovely walks (or runs - our 20 year old son was so inspired he ran a solo half-marathon for the first time ever) along the beach in either direction with good walking and cycling paths. Negative: We had some challenges on arrival with the luggage lift and it took a while for the host agent to come and sort it out - but when he came he was very helpful

This property is great. Wonderful views from open spacious rooms with a great 'sun' room and outdoor patio. Furnishings were very nice, TV had cable and good assortment of streaming services, and the kitchen was large, modern and well-equipped. Bedrooms were fine for 3 adult couples. The location is right by the ocean with good paths for walking and access to the beach. I definitely recommend this penthouse and would gladly stay again.

Despite the record-setting rainfall, and a leak that the owner took care of right away, it was the perfect place for us. In contrast to many ocean-side places, this unit had space to spread out and views from almost everywhere. Many thanks to the owners and hosts for a great stay!

The radiant flooring wouldn't turn off making the house at times so warm it was so uncomfortable where we were trying to open windows etc The oven never would heat up making it to where we had to eat out even though we had food planned for the Saturday to eat and sit on the deck.. Little details being in check could have made it better but the house is very nice location and the property managers were very sweet Over all a very nice place and the views were amazing

The property and home are lovely, though the check-in process and accuracy of the listing could be improved significantly. No information for check-in was sent in advance, so we had to navigate the VRBO customer service line to facilitate this process, despite sending multiple emails to the property host. The master bedroom is nice, though it would be appropriate to clarify that the other two bedrooms are very small and open directly onto the entry/kitchen area. There is no stereo/speaker system. The EV charger was not readily available, nor did it work with our electric car, so it would have been useful to clarify specifically which adapters are available for that system. It is a penthouse unit, so it would also be right to clarify that there is an art gallery immediately below. That didn't impact our enjoyment, but we were surprised to see so many people.

The accommodations were wonderful from champagne, flowers and charcuterie upon arrive to the ease of check out. We saw several pods of orcas and enjoyed yoga each morning on the deck. It was just the perfect stay for us.

There's only one problem with staying at Andreia's place - you will not want to leave! What a magical place! Such a beautiful and comfortable place - we felt very "at home"! We loved watching the surf scoters, sea lions, pelicans, and sea gulls! Restaurants are great and walks along the shore were wonderful. Close enough for us to take a little drive up to the Muir Woods and have lunch at Tadich Grill in SF - so fun! Highly recommend (as long as you can do stairs as it's on the 3rd floor)!

Pros - wonderful view of the ocean, open floor plan of the apartment, covered garage parking for single car Cons - dirty, beer bottles left behind under kitchen sink, dirty bathtub, single toilet and that too crammed up in corner of the wall, lights not working in staircase, at this price would have preferred central air conditioning in the house - the air breeze is smelly, patio railing is rusty, 4 pm is too late check in, pots and pans were dirty from previous use, drinking water is quite bad - carry your own water. Views are awesome but given all other issues, the price ought to be dramatically reduced to make it worth it.

This was our 5th time staying at this beautiful location with our family.....we try and come ever...
This was our 5th time staying at this beautiful location with our family.....we try and come every August to celebrate family birthdays and this year we had a new member to celebrate with.....our first grandbaby, Lillian, who turned 3 months in August.....the location and amenities couldn't have been better.....Friday night we had a big birthday dinner at the beach house, Saturday night we celebrated again at Pasta Moon, and Sunday night we finished our celebrating with dinner right down the street at the Miramar Restaurant....all the food was spectacular......we actually braved the cold water and went for a swim at the beach on Saturday and Sunday....it was awesome.....the waves definitely give you a workout! We finished the trip with a great breakfast Monday morning at the Mezza Luna Cafe....great food and service. Andreia's beach house once again checked all the boxes.....we'll definitely be back next year!

Andreia's place is a beautiful setting in Half Moon Bay that overlooks the ocean , easy to walk down to the beach and the restaurant. This made it very convenient for my parents who are in the 80s and late 70s to enjoy the beach and the wonderful amenities . It was perfect for having time to spend with families , the layout of the home is great. The elevator for the luggages for very convenient and easy to use.The directions and expectations were very easy and would LOVE to spend another time in the future at this lovely and beautiful place. Thank you again .

The Beachfront Penthouse Retreat is truly a treat. We stayed there on a holiday weekend, so it was a splurge financially, but well-worth the investment for a family gathering. We don't regret it. The structure itself is unique and a favorite stop for selfies along the beachfront. The third-floor penthouse is gorgeous, light, spacious, well-appointed, comfortable. Great views. Wonderful balcony overlooking the sea. Comfortable beds with excellent linens. Quiet. Amazing kitchen to prepare local fish and veggies in-house. Giant dining table for enjoying that food with lucky guests. Walking distance to restaurant dining. Easy parking. The host was responsive. We will book again.

GORGEOUS oceanfront home! Decided last minute to book a trip to Half Moon Bay & wanted something on the water. Hotels were expensive & often not right on the water, so I started searching Airbnb & found this beautiful place at a lower rate with the last-minute booking! Beautiful, open floor plan. It was just me & my hubby & one of our 19yr olds that joined for a night. The home is spacious enough for big families &/or multiple families with plenty of room for everyone. We went out to amazing dinner places in town so we didn't cook in the kitchen, but it is fully stocked with utensils & all the cookware you'd need. Super comfy beds, nice big primary suite. Heated floors were amazing too! Andreia is super responsive & helpful before, during & after our stay. We rented electric bikes for a day that were delivered right to the home - felt like kids again riding up the coast to have a drink at the Ritz & back. Would stay here again in a heartbeat & can't wait to come back!

We loved our stay at this Half Moon Bay penthouse. The property was beautiful and was right on the water. The owner/property manager was very responsive even when we lost keys and were in a panic! The elevator was a huge plus since we had lots of luggage. The upper patio was huge and the views of the water were unobstructed. The restaurant located two houses down was a perfect walk. If you are going to Half Moon Bay you will not be sorry if you stay here!

This is a beautiful penthouse overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We would, however, not stay there again. At the current nightly rate of about $1000, I expect the house to be kept in good repair and the host to be responsive to guests. Unfortunately, several items were in disrepair. The light in the stairwell was out, the heated floor in half the house was not working, half the outlets in the kitchen were not working (which required us to move the toaster oven and the coffee machine), and a door on a cabinet had fallen off. I let the host know about the stairwell first, which was the first issue and not important. However, when we discovered the other issues and let the host know, she did not offer to send someone out to fix it, but just said that it sounded like a tripped breaker. I asked where the breaker box was because I could not locate it and never received another reply. Additionally, I thought I had forgotten four wetsuits and asked if they had been found. No reply. Do not rec.

The penthouse was very spacious and clean;however, the pathway towards the parking spaces was very narrow. The bathrooms were connected through a door that couldn’t be locked allowing little privacy. There is no private access to the beach. We had to walk a long distance across via a dangerous pathway. Some people in the neighborhood were not friendly. We would have to reconsider renting this place next time.

Views are spectacular and better than anything you’d ever see at a restaurant. Host and owner are very available for answering any questions. Love the place was a little pricey but enjoyed every moment of it. Beach is right there balcony is beautiful.

I can’t say enough good things about my stay at Andreia’s place. I was there for two nights on an impromptu solo mom’s retreat. It was way too much space for one person and felt like the luxurious, indulgent reprieve I needed. I thoroughly enjoyed the ocean views from every room and the massive deck for people-watching and enjoying my morning tea. I did not leave the unit and found that it was the perfect, relaxing, private getaway I needed. I look forward to returning with my family or other mommy friends.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this unique residence! The penthouse is clean, well appointed, and it’s beachfront location cannot be beat! Although it’s in close proximity to several great restaurants along PCH as well as stores in the downtown portion of HMB, I do recommend renting a car. Management was responsive to our needs and able to promptly assist us when we had any issues. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Upon arrival, the private extra large enclosed garage was great for security and privacy while parking and unloading but the driveway and turns around the house are very narrow and not good for large vehicle. The 2nd parking spot out back was great for additional car. Elevator from garage to the 3rd floor penthouses was critical for my husband's wheelchair needs, and very handy getting bags and food up to penthouse. Fabulous kitchen with huge sub-zero fridge. We enjoyed french press coffee and champagne in beautiful gold flute glasses, so special. Kitchen was fully stocked for all cooking/entertaining needs. My kids loved the treehouse feel of the two standard rooms with floor to ceiling windows to the east and west but able to close shades for privacy. The master bedroom was excellent. Large room with comfy adjustable bed perfect for viewing tv or looking out to the ocean from bed. I love listening to the ocean waves as I fall asleep and then again in the morning as I wake, Priceless! Spacious walk in closet. Master bath has huge jacuzzi tub and separate large walk in shower. Shower tile needs to be refreshed but it is adequate. Dining areas has beautiful solid dark wood extra large dinning table and bench seats overlooking ocean. TV livingroom with cofy sectional perfect for lounging. 2nd livingroom overlooking ocean is beachy mid-century, perfect for conversation or reading and sofa expands to comfy temper-pedic bed. Everyone enjoyed the outside patio with sweeping views of the ocean, cool breeze, patio furniture, beach towels and patio blankets. We enjoyed food from local eateries like Camerons Pub and Tres Amigos, had fun renting cayaks and shopping HMB and Mavericks gear. Host- Andreia was very responsive to my inquiries and feedback.

Great view and great location. We feel asleep to the sound of waves crashing every night. We loved cooking in the kitchen and dined in most of the time because the view was tremendous. The check-in/check-out process was also very smooth. We had no issues getting into the apartment and also checking out. Will definitely be back.

Such an amazing space. Our family enjoyed our stay . Everything was clearly explained and it was very easy to check in . The luggage elevator helped make arriving and leaving smooth. The kitchen had needed items . It was very nice to have a coffee bar set up and had tea and a variety of coffee options . The views are amazing . In the morning as we had our coffee on the deck, we saw a pod of dolphins swim by. Just amazing to see. The location is lovely . We did not choose to eat out , but there is a restaurant within walking distance . The beach right in front of the house is perfect for looking out and enjoying the sunset . There are sandy beaches a small walk away . I will always remember our wonderful stay .

Andreia’s place is perfect for a stay at Half moon bay. The location was great. View from the penthouse is amazing and as pictured. It’s literally a minute walk to the beach and is also very close to the state beach park. We rarely used our car because it was always convenient to just walk to the beach everyday. There are lots of restaurants around to order in or pickup. The place is very clean and comfortable and has everything you could need. I️ would 100% recommend a stay here.

It's very rare that an Airbnb shows better in person than the photos and this was certainly one of those cases. The place is incredibly spacious, the views are unbelievable, and the location is excellent. We also appreciated how well all of the drawers and cabinets were labeled, so it was easy to find everything we needed while cooking. This place is a true gem and we certainly hope to be back soon. I expected the whole house, but it was the penthouse … there was a resident underneath and a store underneath that. While it did not impact our experience, it was not what I expected. I also expected it to be closer to more restaurants and shops without requiring walking on a highway. The parking was very tight and we scraped the side of our car trying to make the turn from the back of the house to get in the garage. Had space been available that night we’d have backed into an outside parking space so we could have avoided the extremely tight turn into the garage. The beach was amazing yet difficult to get down to for walking. The TVs were streaming only, no cable. The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The house was very clean and all of the bedding smelled very fresh. The views were absolutely amazing! The house looked just like the pictures. Gorgeous California residence!

We would highly recommend the Penthouse. The views are amazing with an open outdoor deck. There is plenty of outdoor seating to watch the sunset with a nice glass of wine. The beds are extremely comfortable and the penthouse is very clean, organized and spacious. Ocean wind is chilly at night, so pack a jacket for the deck. The dish wear & cooking pots are plentiful. Washer and dryer available, but need to bring own supplies. We felt this was a great price for the what we got and it's a keeper for our favorites list and one we would book again.

We especially appreciated the quality of the linens and the high end furniture. They thought of every detail with endless kitchen appliances and amenities. The windows yield beautiful views of the Pacific from many angels. Ocean wind is chilly at night, so pack a jacket for the deck. We did take out, but if you planning on cooking, the dish wear & cooking pots are plentiful, however bring condiments, coffee creamer etc, as none available. Also no hairdryer on site. Only one of the bedrooms lacked outside blinds, otherwise both interior and exterior blinds in place. Beach towels and 2 chairs were provided. Washer and dryer available, but need to bring own supplies. Netflix and Disney on big screen TVs. Very comfortable chaise sofa, with a throw was great for viewing. Highlights : openness , the 4 sided fireplace, circular flow of the area, windows, location, large spa tub, and the deck.
