Great ocean and sunset views. Would prefer more table seating in kitchen, but would be perfect for 4 vs 6 people. Great walking from the house. I sent several messages to owner and they never responded. It would have been nice to have owner respond prior to our trip so we could plan (asked questions about distance from dt, fire pit, views from master). Nonetheless, overall everything was great amd I would return. Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay for our girls trip. Amazing views, and exactly as described. It was stormy most of the time, and it was very cozy! The driveway was a little steep and scary (ha ha), so we easily parked right in front. So many sitting areas with huge windows. Perfect for our weekend!

It was rainy weekend during our visit but didn’t matter because the house is beautiful and cozy, comfortable, clean and location gives wonderful views of the sea. The location is also perfect for quick hikes in between the rains. 10 mins to Montara Lighthouse which is practically its neighbor. 20 mins to the Fitzgerald Marine reserve. Lovely coastal trail ran along the houses in the neighborhood. Friendly locals to ask directions. We had a great time!

We had a delightful New Year’s Weekend hanging out & watching lots of football on the giant TV with the cozy sectional sofa. Such a cute & well-appointed home!! The views are amazing. Location is great for getting out and exploring. It would probably not work for mobility-challenged or folks with small kids as there is a spiral staircase to get to the lower level and 2 of the bedrooms are down there, along with laundry & bath. But we had teenagers who LOVED hanging out in the separate little writer’s cottage. The upstairs bedroom is lovely - the others are pretty small but very efficient. Andreia was super responsive—great host!!

The only slight drawbacks were the narrow spiral staircase leading from the main floor to the bedrooms below. Also, there weren’t enough towels for 4 women. Everything else was terrific!

The house is smaller than it looks, but has very beautiful views of the water. The main bathroom has a skylight that floods the bathroom in light. There is no air conditioning, but you don't need it. We left the windows opened and enjoyed the crisp breeze from the water. There is a seating space outside by a firepit. It worked perfectly and we enjoyed time sitting and talking. There is a secondary seating to the right and back of the house; it has a nice view but the seating is not very comfortable. It makes for a nice short breakfast area or brief reading spot. It's a cute home and photographs well. There are some updates and maintenance that should be done. Take the stairs carefully, watch out for the interior stairs leading to the family room, the gate that needs some repairs. Overall, the views are beautiful and it can be a quiet escape when construction is not in bloom.

Great house with a beautiful, private location. Very clean and comfortable for a weekend stay. The only issue we had was not getting help when the TVs weren’t working. Although the host responded, we never received assistance to address the issue. Throughout our stay the host said they would send someone to help & then would stop responding when we tried to plan our stay around someone coming to the house. Although friendly & responsive, the host did not offer a solution to resolve the TV issues

Wonderful place if you're wanting to stay at a place with an amazing view. The house was clean and has everything you want to just make a day or two to not move and enjoy the sounds and view of the ocean. Fire pit area made a nice place to hang out with the family. The main level (top) was wonderful. The secondary bedrooms are in the lower area are ok. Shower in the lower bathroom doesn't get as hot but warm enough. The house next door is under construction. We only had one morning we heard them, but otherwise, they didn't bother us. Actually was nice since at night no one is living there and this house feels more secluded. The cliffs were beautiful at sunset. There is no easy access to the beach, but there is a non-official one if you walk around and see where the locals go to get down to surf. The price is high for this place, but I would stay here again just for that view.

If you want to combine San Francisco with a North Cali beach vibe then this is the perfect house for you! The views out to the ocean are magnificent, especially the sunsets and you are just a short drive away from beautiful beaches. There is a holiday vibe here so plenty of restaurants in Moon Bay or just chill in the wonderful environment of this lovely house. We rented e-bikes from the owners and had fun cycling down the coast for a day and we had two days in SF too. Great location and everything you need for a comfortable stay :-)

Wished the windows had screens so we can leave the windows open to listen to the waves/ocean. Our family loved the views and natural lighting. We like the convenience of the shopping, restaurants, and multiple Beach access. Spiral stairs are a little scary if you have small children, otherwise we enjoyed our time here.

I found the house to be gorgeous & exactly as depicted! If you’re going to relax / get away with a family of 8 I would reconsider maybe a bigger place . If you’re above 6ft the downstairs is truly off limits . The eye catching spiral steps are quite scary as well. We saw multiple bolts coming undone. Square footage is always a hit or miss with air bnbs but in all honesty 6 people max in this house & MAYBE an extra in the back writing cottage. (Just be ready to FREEZE in the Cottage- it’s literally a shack.) Due to construction, parking was quite confusing - especially with my elderly grandparents. All together it’s a good place to shower & try to sleep/ touch base if you’re in town for the weekend. Worth the $? Eh. That’s subjective .. worth the discomfort for the memories made ? Absolutely.

The house was at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, up on a bluff. Although there is construction in the next house, we didn't even notice or was not bothered by noise. Host was attentive and responsive to questions. It was a great place for our family of 6 to stay for our beach getaway. It is about 5 minutes drive to HMB restaurants and Miramar Beach. Place was nicely equipped. Would, however, suggest 1-2 more larger bowls to use for cooking/baking. The ocean views from the windows are beautiful. Would suggest putting screens on windows so that the beautiful views can be enjoyed without worry of bugs flying in. Thank you for allowing our family to enjoy your beautiful beach getaway!!!

Location, location, location! This place is in an absolutely beautiful spot on the coast, and even when our weather was quite chilly and rainy the view of the ocean from the kitchen held our attention. The home’s interior is okay. The open layout of the first floor was perfect for our family of four, but overall it felt that this home was rather quickly/inexpensively renovated. The downstairs bedrooms in particular were a bit too “basement feeling” and the shower in the bathroom has a very low ceiling (my son had to hunch over or his head hit the ceiling). Don’t miss the walk along the coast that you can access just outside and down the closest lane—it’s stunning! There is a major construction project happening on the home immediately next door. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time as crews showed up very early in the morning, with many crew members and vehicles and their work is loud, as you’d expect.

Amazing views, host and just overall. The location was great, plenty of parking as soon as we arrived and we drove 3 cars. Super easy to get inside with the instructions being so clear. The place was clean, no clutter. Aesthetically pleasing and just super comfy. Our stay was everything we hoped for and more. Even got to enjoy a beach day after check out. The locations gives you the urge to explore the beautiful surroundings. We cannot wait to have an experience like this again.

This property is excellent for a comfortable and secluded stay on the coast. Very close to all the state parks on Cabrillo Highway and only 20 minutes from San Francisco. Everything in the house was clean and functional. The kitchen had all the amenities needed for preparing meals but there are also several good restaurants within a short distance drive from the home. Would definitely stay again.

This was our first trip to Moss Beach. There are great hiking trails all down the coast. We will definitely be returning.

Like many, I just needed a quick get-away. As it happens, I live close-by on the N. CA coast so I wasn’t looking to come walk the beach. I simply wanted a quiet, warm house close to the water where I could read, sew, meditate and nap. What I wasn’t prepared for was the full blown CONSTRUCTION next door. So be forewarned if you are going to be vacationing M-F you’ll likely have construction noise (8-4 pm). It rattled me out of bed last Monday morning . The home next door is literally 10’ away so even with ear plugs, there was no covering the noise. Made my concerns immediately known and after a few days, the owner agreed to compensate me about 1/3 of my stay. The house itself is a 10 out of 10 and I would stay there again if I could be assured of no construction. And without the construction I would have given it a “great” scoring. Truly amazing house! Views to die for! Beds are comfortable, kitchen well-appointed - it was exactly what I was looking for.

These issues should not have existed given the price we were paying. I messaged the hostess and they were taken care of the next day. Overall, an enjoyable/pleasant stay.

The most wonderful place to stay away from the busy San Fransisco Centre. Only a 20 minute straight drive into the City and a ton of things to do and see on the Pacifica Coast. We drove to Muir Woods which was a lovely scenic drive over The Golden Gate Bridge only an hour away and then on to Sausalito. There is a lovely Whole Food Grocery Store on the main Coast road down towards Half Moon Bay and of course The Mavericks Surf area is a must see. We only found The little Cottage room on the last day but what a wonderful find. We walked on the cliff top along the walkway to see the splendor of the coast line. The home is unique Cosy and a pleasure to come back to after a busy day. Would love to come back again sometime.

We had a wonderful time at this property! Our host was very responsive (bringing us more laundry detergent immediately after we let her know it was gone), great location, and wonderful views. We enjoyed the selection of coffee pods & the fire pit area was a nice perk too. The beds were sooo comfortable!! Like sleeping in a cloud. :) There are fun places to see nearby including: Moss Beach Distillery (where we had fun cocktails & had the best crab cakes & calamari!), The Wine Room (super cute inside & had the best service) and we visited downtown Half Moon Bay which has a lot of fun shops, a brewery, places to eat, and a cute wine tasting room - Half Moon Bay Wine & Cheese. The drive into San Francisco was fairly quick, about 1/2 hour. We drove our rental into the city & made valet parking reservations at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, located at Market Street. Perfect location & safe place to park & then walk! It’s even located right next to the cable car the runs up Nob Hill.

Gorgeous views on 3 sides! My husband, daughter and I spent a few days here as a great transition for us between home and dropping our daughter off at college. The reality was even better than the the photos. Very clean, cozy yet feels spacious with the open concept, with all the amenities you can think of and spaces where you can get the privacy you want. And most of the windows open so you can feel that gorgeous ocean breeze.

Cute little place with gorgeous views out over the water. Stairs have been mentioned in several reviews - our teen son scraped his heel pretty badly going down, so be careful. They'd be an issue for anyone with mobility, stability or knee problems. Spaces are beautiful and very well decorated. Construction next door didn't start until 8 am on weekdays and nothing on Saturday, so not a problem for us.

The magic of this rental is the gorgeous panoramic view and the access to the small, local beach under the lighthouse. (Be sure to go during low tide for wonderful tide pool discoveries). The house is beautifully decorated, the beds are very soft and comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. Please do note as others have, that safe accessibility to downstairs would be a challenge for older guests and small children. Our 9-year old, however, loved snuggling up to read and draw in the Writer’s Cottage. It might be worth inquiring with the owners about any current construction near the property that might impact the enjoyment of your stay, otherwise, I would wholeheartedly recommend this house for a lovely getaway.

The only downside was the fire pit stopped working after the first night but the hosts sent a tech out to help right away and replaced the fire pit next morning. Would definitely come again. Unfortunately a disappointing AirBnb experience. The location is great. The main floor of the house is great, including a bedroom and bathroom. The issue for my party was the bedrooms downstairs that were clearly converted from a garage and storage area. The bedroom in the storage area had no bedside table, and the shared bathroom was actually the laundry room. There were no towel rods, and the toilet paper holder has bizarrely been installed in a position that makes actually sitting on the toilet difficult. I think if you had kids sleeping down there, it wouldn't really be a big issue, but for three women, we expected proper bedrooms and bathrooms. If you were a couple just staying on the main floor, no problem. The wifi wasn't working, but Andreia was very communicative about trying to fix it. I also do appreciate that she agreed to let us leave after one night and fully refunded the other three. Considering it was nearly $1000 CAD per night, the storage room bedroom and downstairs bathroom were just not up to the standard we expected. When you can't even hang up a towel or sit comfortably on the toilet, it's an issue. The circular staircase down to the converted bedrooms is also rickety and anyone with mobility issues might struggle with it. The keypad on the door was also difficult to use.

Fantastic house in Moss Beach. Great views of the ocean. I was actually surprised how close it was to Princeton by the Sea and Half Moon Bay. We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was super clean , the kitchen was fully stocked , nice towels and linens and comfy beds. This is a place to go relax, watch the ocean and enjoy the coast close up. Easy self check in and out with no issues at all . I will definitely be back .

This house is lovely, clean and decorated beautifully. The view is stunning although it is good to know beforehand that this is house is not on the beach and is located very close to highway 1. (You can hear the ocean but you can also hear the cars). Also two of the bedrooms are downstairs in a converted garage so think of it as one small floor with a beautifully finished basement. Spiral staircase that goes down would require supervision of young kids and is not ideal for anyone with mobility challenges.

Just a quick drive to any of the surrounding towns and only 30 minutes from sf it's hard to beat this location. Had a great stay. The view from the house actually mesmerizes you. The ocean, the breeze, sound of the waves, all makes one's stay here worthwhile. The house has plenty of space and all the windows along with the color coordination of the house (white) makes it airy and seem even larger. Another great advantage was the parking, being located on a cul-de-sac, parking is easy for everyone, including guests. The beach & the Montara Lighthouse is a 10 mins walk from the house. Andreia was great and always available if you need any help. Will definitely be back.

Such a beautiful home (just like the photos - with a West Elm/Pottery Barn vibe), with amazing ocean views, a great private location in a cul-de-sac, soft comfortable beds, upgraded appliances with a fully stocked open kitchen and everything in the house very fresh and clean. There is a easy little trail that starts feet away from the house that runs all along the cliffs along the ocean with breathtaking views and the lighthouse and distillery are minutes away. Loved the detached library, cool spiral staircase downstairs and all the attention to detail. Andreia was extremely responsive to top it all off. A++++ We hope to come back again and stay a little longer next time.

The little private cabin on the property is a huge plus to give visitors a little break from the other guests. The modern kitchen came in handy for all our home cooked meals. We were a five minute drive from Montara Beach and less than 30 minutes from San Francisco.

Wow, the views here are phenomenal! The furniture and beds are comfy, house is very clean, and the kitchen is well-stocked. Be prepared to bring luggage to downstairs rooms via the garage door, as the spiral staircase is narrow. There was a minor plumbing issue, so be prepared for the possibility of needing to use their provided plunger. Also, we weren't able to access the beach by walking, but did drive to the preserve for a great walk and beach access. Overall, the views and home were great!

This Airbnb is amazing! We honestly thought it was a scam because it was too beautiful. But when we arrived sure enough it was just as pretty as the pictures. It’s in a great location with a lighthouse only a few minutes away. When going to the lighthouse you will have to go through a gate that looks like it’s locked but it’s not. Our only complaint is there weren’t screens on the window so we couldn’t feel the ocean breeze and there are no fans so the house got a little stuffy and hot. It’s also worth noting that one of the rooms is in a little outside separate house that does not have a lock. We would definitely recommend this Airbnb!!
