Our family of 4 recently stayed at this VRBO property in hopes for a peaceful getaway and this home absolutely exceeded all of my expectations. The spacious accommodation, stunning ocean views off the deck, beautiful trails, and walking access to a marine reserve created an incredibly serene atmosphere. My absolute favorite spot was just few feet away from the driveway where there was a bench that you can just sit on in quiet, and find comfort watching the sunset over the ocean. It was the most beautiful and peaceful moment for me personally. Our kids (age 8 & 11) also loved this home, with lots of space to hang out downstairs, run around in backyard, indoor games, and a cute sunroom. The kids room was super cute and it’s clear the owners thought of everything for their guests. If you have kids, it’s definitely going to be ideal for your family. The owners were excellent hosts, and very kind people. I can’t wait until we come back, and in the meantime, we will share this listing with all of our family/friends. The WiFi wouldn't let additional users the first night. The one queen in the big room needed a box springs. But overall we had an awesome time. Too bad the reserve was closed for exploring the tide pools.

The house was perfect for our family of four "mini-vacation" (four day long weekend) to the San Francisco area. Located about halfway between SF and Palo Alto on the coast. With two teen-aged kids, we were less than an hour from SF (and day trip to Muir Woods), and we were also 45 minutes from Stanford for a college visit. Nearby Half Moon Bay, and we did another day trip down to Monterey/Carmel. The house itself is great: very clean and well furnished, with multiple bedrooms, and otherwise "as-advertised." Great communication with the owner. Steps from the nearby nature preserve, which we also greatly enjoyed each day. It was beautiful seeing the west-coast sunset over the Pacific (including at the nearby Moss Beach Distillery restaurant)!

The house made me and my family feel safe and comfortable. The decor in the house was fresh and welcoming! The only disappointment we had was the beach park in front of the home was closed down permanently. It was a short walk to the nearest beach. It was not a deal breaker because the views were breath taking, although the reason we did decide to pay a higher price was to have quick access to the beach from our home. Since the park is permanently closed now it might be a good idea to update the beach access options. Other than that we enjoyed it very much!

This is a beautiful home, with lovely views. Even in a rainstorm, we enjoyed sitting in the living room, listening and watching through the glass doors and windows. There was plenty of room for our family of 7 and it was a wonderfully relaxing space. Definitely take advantage of the reserve and tidepools next door - what a treasure.

Hiking, hot tub, lunch at the iconic Pacifica Taco Bell, beach walks, beautiful views and a great kitchen to cook in. Cozy, well appointed and perfect for small groups or families. 4.5 stars - The home was exactly as pictured except the white fluffy robes shown in two pictures were not to be found...? It would have been so nice to have those robes when getting out of the hot tub especially with the strong wind and rain we experienced. We were also disappointed to find ants in the kitchen. Thankfully, they disappeared by our 3rd day. Besides these minor issues we had a great time and would stay here again.

Works best for a family because of the bathroom arrangement...small common bath on entry level, then upstairs (where the living/dining/kitchen area is) the bath is in the master bedroom. A bit awkward. The house is will appointed.and the kitchen is well equiped, but NO food/condiments/etc.other than coffee. We did encounter ants in the kitchen, and there were bait things, but they did nothing to keep the ants away. We'd go back now that we know what to expect.

Andreia’s home is in an absolutely stunning location. Peaceful was an understatement! Added bonus that it was located next door to a state park. The bridge was closed to access the bluffs, but the other access point was just a short 2 min drive from the place. Great place to walk in the mornings. Inside, the kitchen was perfect for preparing family meals, well stocked with stainless steal cookware and plenty of space to enjoy dinners. The bedrooms were clean and very comfortable. We did smell a bit of bleach and/or chemicals on the bed sheets in the bottom floor, but it still seemed very, very clean. Nothing to be worried about. The hot tub and backyard were amazing. Very private and well-kept for everyone to enjoy. I would one back just to enjoy tea on the balcony overlooking the waves. Overall, very pleased with this space. If you want a clean, tranquil, and private place to enjoy family time, this is perfect.

Wow! This property exceeds the photos! Beautifully decorated throughout with a well-stocked kitchen and quality linen. The hosts are wonderful and very responsive. The views are to die for with stunning forest and beach walks close by (literally on the doorstep when the new bridge arrives any day now). The property itself is close enough to do day tours to San Francisco heading north and to do day tours to stunning Monterey heading south. Overall, this AirBnb is perfection!

Spent our yearly family holiday getaway here. Beautiful home with everything you could ask for plus more. The ocean views from the kitchen, living room and deck were breath taking. Lots of room to spread out. Most of the bedrooms were downstairs and a hot tub off the 1st floor. The amazing kitchen (stocked with everything you need to cook), living room, dining room and master bedroom were on the 2nd floor. If I have to knit pick the only con was that the only bathroom upstairs was part of the master suite. This was an wonderful experience, thank you for sharing your home with us.

This home is truly lovely, with a stunning view and relaxing layout that's perfect for unwinding. Colors are soothing, beds are super comfy, and everything is very clean. The beach is only two minutes away, and be sure to hurry back for a dip in the hot tub. My only complaint is the knobs on the kitchen cabinets, which have a fluted aluminum piece on that easily catches on your clothes. They ripped a hole in a favorite pair of pants as I was walking by, and almost ripped a second pair! But overall: extremely satisfied, and would highly recommend.

My self and family stayed at this house during the pumpkin festival recently. The property was amazing! Right down the street from beach access. The porch over looking the water was a great place to sit and relax. Check in and check out were super easy. Clean and a great place to bring kids because they could run around in the back yard. Only note would be maybe need some drapes or blinds on the room outside by the hot tub. We would defiantly stay here again.

One thing i was a little disappointed in was that the two fireplaces shown in the pictures were decorative, not operational. It did get chilly in the evening and a fire would have been awesome, even from a fire pit. Overall, I would definitely return and recommend.

We spent Labor Day weekend here and it was wonderful. I had friends fly in from the east coast and I had never been to moss beach before (I live in SF) and was nervous about how the location would be and the house and it worked out just great. We have a toddler and the upstairs porch was safe and that was really relaxing. The weather ended up being beautiful. The forest and beach are both right across the street, there is a lovely playground also right across the Carrillo highway. Wonderful time.

I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home hosted by Andreia. The check in instructions were very straightforward and the house has a beautiful kitchen that overlooks the ocean. The deck that is adjacent to the kitchen is equipped with a bbq grill which was perfect. We ran out of propane while using the grill, however, the host ensured a replacement was at our doorstep within the next 30 minutes. 10/10 would recommend!

Loved every minute of our stay here! Even though it was foggy and overcast the entire week, we still loved our stay as it didn't take away from the beauty of the beaches and parks readily accessible. From walking down to the tide pools daily to checking out the local attractions, our entire family all loved our stay and plan on reserving it again another time. I also highly recommend being sure to keep track of the high/low and negative tides, as it was amazing to see how the tide pools changed. If you come, be sure to check out everything Fitzgerald Reserve has to offer as well as Half Moon Bay. Our kids loved Montara Beach the best for "playing at the beach", but walking out to Mavericks was also unexpectedly amazing. We were able to watch the tide come in and all the crabs quickly became active and were scurrying around right in front of you. There were also a lot of locals at Mavericks collecting all sorts of sea creatures as it allowed there during low tides.

The house was very clean and had beautiful views. However, there were a few things we were disappointed in. I let the host know I wanted early check in. We arrived early and saw the cleaners. We came back later and the cleaners were gone. I texted the host saying we were waiting outside the cleaners were gone. She indicated she could let us in early when she heard from the cleaners. However, did not hear back so we had to wait outside until 4 p.m. There were not enough towels. I called the host and she provided them. We could not find a can opener. Also, the knobs on the kitchen cabinets were pointy and sharp. Three of us had our pants snagged. We put aluminum foil around all the cabinets to prevent further injury and clothes getting wrecked. I notified the host and she said she would take care of it. Also, the ceiling light in the downstairs bathroom was flickering and one of the 4 lights above the mirror did not work. It was dark. Host sent out electrician. A lot of inconveniences

Beautiful home, away from home. Family friendly. They had everything from utensils for cooking, foil, zip lock, to shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the bathroom. Other than the view, the added relaxation to the stay is the jacuzzi. A definite must use. And it was clean, easy to use. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for a few days while in town for a wedding. The location is amazing and the views are just gorgeous. Located only a few steps from the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, we were able to enjoy walks down to the beach each day of our stay. The home was well appointed with plenty of towels and linens, and the beds were very comfortable. One thing to check beforehand is whether access to the reserve has been restored - the bridge to the trails located nearest to the listing was closed due to storm damage in recent months. Alternate trail access was only about a 3 minute drive away, but it would have been helpful to know ahead of time. This was only a very small setback and easy to look past, given all the other amazing features of the home. My only other suggestion might be to add a baby gate for future guests with small children, as the stairs were a bit tricky to close off. Fantastic stay, thank you! We hope to visit again in the future.

Guests should be informed that Fitzgerald preserve is closed (bridge to the cypress woods is damaged, beach and tide pools closed) The host has no control over the weather, but should still divulge this since it’s a key reason guests choose this home. An strong perfume smell ingered even with the windows open. The windows are very dirty and have broken seals. Understandable with the recent storms, but it detracts from/impedes the incredible view and should be addressed soon. The king bed is terrible (sloped). The mattress needs to be replaced. Didn’t get a good night’s sleep the whole time. Some other maintenance issues (thresholds, bathroom door, etc.) were shared with the host. A few small improvements like installing hooks for jackets, towels and robes inside and by the hot tub would be great. Overall a wonderful spot.

The home is beautiful and situated with a perfect view of the beach. Our group went after mudslides so we were unable to access the beach, but the home is less than 20 feet from the park. My favorite room was the kitchen; with tons of light, a beautiful view of the ocean and tons of amenities. They were so generous with the spices, coffee, tea and the basics that at times, other AirBNB's do not provide. The living room area had several sitting spots and access to a very smart TV. We were unable to use the jacuzzi because it was so cold but they have a really cute room and a great writers retreat spot. The restaurant options in the area are not great but the two restaurants we visited were all very friendly and had great service. We can't wait to reserve this place again.

We had a beautiful, relaxing stay at the beach house. Everything was lovely and we are glad we postponed our trip until better weather. The location is excellent for all sorts of hiking, sadly the park was closed from the weather damage, but hopefully we'll be able to come again and take those ocean trail hikes. Our communication with Andreia was excellent, however we found everything to be in order and didn't need to ask too many questions. Thanks again for allowing us to stay at your retreat.

We loved everything about this house! It's really beautiful, with gorgeous design and attention to details. You will feel like you are in a very expensive hotel with the conveniences of the private space. The kitchen is fully equipped with a choice of coffee pods, spices and other utensils. The beautiful park and the beach nearby were closed because of the storms, but nevertheless we enjoyed our weekend a lot. The pillar point park was open and we had a great hike. Everything was very convenient: the beds, linen, pillows, etc. So far this is the best airbnb property we have ever rented, and we travel often. Thanks a lot!
